Founded in the early 2000s amid Zhuhai’s transformation from a sleepy coastal town into a dynamic hub of the Greater Bay Area, Grand Bay emerged at a pivotal moment in China’s coastal renaissance. At a time when rapid development often sacrificed soul for scale, our founders chose a different path: to build a sanctuary that respected Zhuhai’s maritime identity—its fishing heritage, its breezy promenades, its harmonious blend of Cantonese tradition and modern ambition. The name “Grand Bay” was chosen deliberately: Grand for aspiration, integrity, and generosity; Bay for the South China Sea that cradles our city, for the tides of change we embrace, and for the shelter we offer travelers—a calm harbor in a world of motion.
From the outset, we committed to three pillars that remain unshaken today:

Every design decision reflects Zhuhai’s coastal character: light-filled interiors echo seashell palettes; locally sourced stone and bamboo textures honor Lingnan craftsmanship; even the lobby’s artwork features commissioned pieces by Guangdong artists depicting Guan’ao Platform sunrises and NanBei FengWei MeiShiJie street life. We didn’t import a generic “luxury template”—we co-created a home that belongs here.
